Miles & Stockbridge P.C., a 200+ lawyer law firm with offices in the Washington-Baltimore region, is seeking an Intellectual Property Trademark Specialist/Paralegal to work in the Northern Virginia – Tysons Corner Office to support the Intellectual Property Practice Group.

The Trademark Specialist/Paralegal will be performing both domestic and foreign trademark prosecution work which will include a variety of tasks including preparing relevant documents for filing applications, docket management, the maintenance of pending and registered trademarks and assist with filings at the TTAB; will communicate with clients and foreign agents on routine matters and assist in checking the status of trademark cases with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and foreign trademark office as appropriate.

The successful candidate should have 3-5 years of combined comprehensive domestic and foreign IP trademark experience in a law firm and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Strong PC knowledge including awareness and knowledge of social media sites is required. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work under pressure while producing a high volume of information with a dedication to accuracy and thoroughness in their work product. Willingness to work over-time is required and the willingness to travel to other offices within the firm as needed.
