JOB SUMMARY:

This position is part of the Department of Management and Administration, Overseas Private Investment Corporation. The incumbent will serve as the Agency Deputy Chief Information Officer and will be involved in the planning, developing, implementing, and managing of broad and extensive Information Technology (IT) projects.

    This position requires specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement involves experience in leading the development, implementation, and administration of Information Management Systems objectives, plans, policies, and projects to meet organizational needs. Specialized experience also includes the application of principles, concepts, laws, and regulations of Information Technology (IT), serving as a senior expert, and consultant advising on IT systems.

    A written test is not required.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Education can not be substituted for experience at the GS-15 level.

    The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.

    Conditions of Employment:

    Selection may require completion of a 1-year probationary period.

    Selection may require completion of a 1-year supervisory or managerial probationary period.

    If selected, you will be required to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450).

    This position allows for a flexible work schedule.
