Materials Testing Technician


Dewberry is seeking highly motivated Materials Testing Technicians to join our Construction Management  and Inspection team. Project assignments throughout Northern VA area.


Work will include construction materials testing in the following disciplines; soils, aggregates, and concrete for roads, bridges and culverts, paving, drainage and storm water facilities and building construction. Work
may/will include nights and weekends as dictated by the Contractor's scheduled operations.


  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess the following certifications, or some combination of the following: 
    • VDOT Soils & Aggregate, VDOT Concrete Field, ACI Field Level 1, ACI Concrete Strength Certification and Nuclear Gauge Safety Training. Work will be performed within the onsite field laboratory as well as on the 11-mile long project site.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
