Sr. Network Technician - TS/SCI required
The NOC is currently seeking a talented Tier I Network Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance to provide monitoring, maintenance and advanced support of voice, data, and/or video communications networks across the Enterprise on the mid-shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1st level resolution and customer support to all customer managed networks. Using customer outage tracking software, the candidate must be able to accurately document all critical network and/or VTC outages. The main tools utilized for this position at the NOC include: HPNA, HP NNMi, Putty, Splunk, SharePoint, GEM, WhatsUpGold, Tivoli, Cisco IOS, Support Web Incident Tracking System, and various network monitoring and analysis tools as required.
Able to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems.
Strong Communication Skills - verbal and written
Intermediary problem analysis and problem solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy within documentation
Able to interact with Customer via phone, email, and VTC
Adaptability to 24/7 environment
Able to work independently within a Team Concept
Shift Work is required (work center is 24/7).
Must have an IAT II Certification.
Position requires the candidate to pass the CI Poly.
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
3-5 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.
