The Communication Analyst will be responsible for supporting the DoD Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) by writing, editing, revising, and performing quality assurance tasks for outreach and instructional materials. This includes reports, briefing packages, newsletters, marketing and training materials delivered by the website, print materials, PowerPoint slide decks, and other multimedia presentations. As part of our creative team, you'll help shape customer experiences by planning, developing and managing content for the CAP ecosystem, including social media. Duties include gathering and sorting source and background materials, as well as consulting with various personnel to clarify details of document production. Responsibilities include reviewing content for accuracy and conformity to government standards and guidelines, as well as managing CAP event requests, which include presentations, exhibits, and speaking engagements.
A successful candidate will have experience with marketing/communication processes, developing/participating in outreach campaigns, and exhibit proficiency in writing. Must have 2-3 years of experience writing publications and translating complex information into plain language. Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills, and MS office are required. Must be team-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to follow directions and produce consistent and accurate work under the pressure of deadlines. Must possess the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Communication, English, Marketing or Business, 2 - 3 years of experience in a communication function, a client-facing or similar role in a marketing or government environment and demonstrated talent for translating data and concepts into understandable text.
