The System Administrator’s role is to configure, maintain, and monitor the Bank’s applications and systems to ensure a high level of availability of the supported network environment. This individual also participates in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system access and provisioning is consistent with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.  This individual will also work closely with the service desk technicians to help perform the necessary ticket monitoring, troubleshooting, ticket completion and customer satisfaction.

1. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and procedures.  Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services.  Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems.  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems/networks.  Provides Tier-3 support for help desk related problems or incidents. Also provides the necessary ticket troubleshooting and monitoring to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide recommendations for new hardware/software and technologies.  Maintain and support company’s LAN/WAN environment, Windows systems, business applications, anti-virus protection, email, and authentication administration.  Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration.  Maintain and configure development and test environments.  Participate in on-call rotation.  40%

2. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.  Support backup processes as necessary and appropriate.  Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.  Provide Tier III, other support per request from various constituencies.  Investigate and troubleshoot issues.  Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.  Complete project tasks as assigned and support the new projects as necessary and appropriate.  Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure add new services as necessary.  Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.  Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.  Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.  30%

3.  Provides administration and troubleshooting for Domino Infrastructure and Application issues.  Manages trouble tickets, diagnoses problems, and recommends and/or implements solutions.  Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.  Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.  Provides backup recovery of domino databases.  Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Supports lab environment, configuring and maintaining equipment.  Experience with Lotus Domino version 8.5.3 and previous versions.  Experience performing Lotus Domino / Notes version upgrades.  Experience with VMWare Horizon Mirage.  Fundamental understanding of developing / designing / programming Domino applications.  30%

College diploma or university degree in the field of Information Technology and/or 5-7 years of system administration experience 
Microsoft and ITIL certifications preferred.
Working technical knowledge of Microsoft client/server operating systems, including:
Windows 7
Windows Server 2008
VMWare Horizon Mirage Experience
Experience managing users and groups in Active Directory
Working technical knowledge of VMware virtualization, including the deployment of desktop/server virtual machines.
Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications and suites, including Visio and Project.
Extensive application support experience with the following
Symantec Backup Exec
RSA Authentication Manager
Desktop Authority
Lotus Notes
Cisco VPN
Experience configuring network connectivity using Cisco switches.
Working technical knowledge of IBM Domino 8.5.3
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows network administration, including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with HP desktop, laptop, and server hardware.
Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications and suites, including Visio and Project.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Demonstrated experience documenting processes and procedures for routine administrative tasks.
