The Technical Writer shall confer regularly with the TPOC to ensure that 4.0M writing standards, practices, procedures, Standard Work Packages, and templates are consistently applied across projects.

Essential Job Functions:

Participate in group and/or one-on-one 4.0M Technical Writing Meetings as required by the TPOC in order to remain current with evolving 4.0M writing standards.

Technical Writing Support for Analysis Efforts/Projects.

Attend planning meetings, working with Study Leads and Technical Directors to produce study plans and study planning materials.

Independently produce study outlines developed from supplied pre-study documentation and planning meetings, and submit them for Study Lead/Technical Director's input.

Produce the Study Plan skeleton in the 4.0M-approved format.

Evolve the Study Plan, once approved, into the Draft Final Report, which will be maintained and updated as needed through the course of the study.

Provide the Draft Final Report as requested to the Study Lead/Technical Director for review.

Maintain version control of the Draft Final Report, soliciting SME input as needed and working with the Study Lead/Technical Director to keep the report current as the study progresses.

Maintain and organize the study, Sharepoint site, ensuring study materials are easily accessible to study participants.

Serve as the key point of contact for study participants on the Sharepoint site organization.

Create, edit, and maintain briefs in parallel to the Draft Final Report, ensuring that presentation materials are up to date as key briefing dates approach.

Provide the final edit prior to briefings, ensuring consistency and correctness of presentation materials.

Produce the Final Report on or before the deadline specified by the Study Lead/Technical Director, compiling all appendices and annexes in the format required by the study sponsor.

Utilize Air-4.0M standardized Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, or Visio formats.

Perform needed enhancements of Government Furnished Data, developing and appending additional material as needed to support the task objective.

Technical Writing Support for the Model Development and Data Management Branch
The Contractor shall produce software-specific documentation such as: Systems Engineering Plans, Software Requirements Specifications, Software Development Plans, Software Design Documents, Software User manuals, Verification, Validation & Accreditation artifacts and Software Project Reports.
Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School Diploma/GED plus sixteen (16) years of experience, a Associates plus ten (10) years of experience, a Bachelors plus eight (8) years of experience or a Masters plus six (6) years of experience.

Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance.

The scope of this effort is to support the Government department's ability to augment the core technical writing team in response to high study demand.

Operate as part of the study team from the beginning of the planning phase to the end of the publication phase.

Participate, actively, in technical, planning, and report delivery meetings, comprehend the information exchanged in these meetings, assist study leads/technical directors in outlining, drafting, and publishing technical documents and briefings in accordance with established standard work packages and formats.

Is expected that the technical writers will be on site, working closely with the government SMEs, analysts and engineers.
