Enrollment Planning Manager

The George Mason University School of Business is seeking an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented Enrollment Planning Manager to lead the enrollment management operations of the School of Business’ academic programs. Responsibilities: A key emphasis for this position is to ensure all curriculum and enrollment management processes are strategically aligned with school-wide goals. The primary responsibilities for the position include: course scheduling; enrollment management; administering all aspects of the catalog; participating in new and revised undergraduate program curriculum changes; ensuring the effectiveness of School of Business policies; and acting as a liaison with the Registrar and other units to ensure service delivery. This is a full-time staff position with full benefits. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs. Duties include:

Scheduling Support: * Manage the undergraduate class scheduling process, including working with area chairs, academic directors, program directors, dean’s office staff, and the registrar’s office to setup the spring, summer, and fall semester schedules for the School of Business--this includes tracking current and historical enrollment, using data analytics to adjust offerings based on student demand, managing room requests, managing waitlists, distributing schedules to listservs, communicating course additions or cancellations to students, and adding faculty assignments in CourseLeaf; and * Coordinate the graduate-level schedule with Graduate Programs.

Strategic Enrollment Management, Policies, and Curriculum Support: * Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic enrollment management and course scheduling process within the School of Business aligned with the school’s vision, mission, and strategic direction; * Serve as an ex officio, nonvoting member of the School of Business Undergraduate Policy Committee; * Serve as School of Business liaison with the Office of the University Registrar on all matters including academic status, catalog, Deans List, grading, registration, and scheduling; and * Serve as School of Business Grading Coordinator.

Catalog Support: * Coordinate the annual catalog edit process for the School of Business.

Data Management Support: * Manage course and student databases for current semesters and archive previous semester information; * Serve as resident expert in MicroStrategy; * Determine scope of extracts to be requested from registrar for School of Business data files, and use those reports to assist and inform deans office, faculty, and staff of academic status; and * Assist as requested in the completion of surveys on enrollment data.

Other Duties: * Work on office team projects and events, including awards ceremony, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Degree Celebration; * Send announcements as requested; * Represent the School of Business at any Orientations as needed; * Attend the annual School of Business meetings as needed; and * Attend the Office of Student Success and Academic Services meetings, as needed.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; * Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of all applications in Microsoft Office, database expertise, and e-mail and network applications; * Experience in data management and workflow design; * Ability to effectively communicate and work with others to achieve results; * Ability to work effectively with senior leadership; and * Good citizenship and the ability to work well with colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working in a higher education environment; * Extensive experience with George Mason University (or similar) scheduling and student management systems (i.e., Ellucian Banner, CourseLeaf); * Experience in successfully leading special project implementations and completing special assignments; * Excellent communication, analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills; and * Proactive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to motivate, and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
