Summary

PenFed is hiring a Director, Business Integration in our McLean, Virginia headquarters.  The primary purpose of this job is to serve as a Client Partner to help support the strategic goals of the organization by helping the IT Division develop a more focused alignment within all business units that will provide more streamlined business planning integration, effective communication, support escalation path and help improve and drive the success of future PenFed initiatives. This position will also be responsible for supporting the portfolio governance process, analysis of portfolio investments, and reporting to enable effective decision making and delivering business value of IT programs and projects.

    Partner with the CTO and business teams to help bring value and focus to early discussions to help shape business issues and strategies. Bring together appropriate internal and external resources to ensure all areas of the business are included. Help identify potential business risks and business value with early discussions of initiatives. Build relationships with business partners to ensure they are engaged and getting the most value from IT and other partners or potential partners. Proactively work with business departments to understand their IT related initiatives so they can be better aligned with the appropriate priorities and resources. Build relationships with all levels of business to help gain the most value from IT. Develop and help manage executive relationships by providing leadership and open communication across all business areas. Help improve IT governance by balancing demand and service capabilities, with visibility into IT’s ability to achieve business objectives. Ability to communicate technical complexity in business terms to the appropriate audience. Support the intake process of projects through the governance process of IT programs and projects. Lead the governance and project status review meetings. Partner closely with business partners to analyze new projects and readiness for governance decisions and provides transparency of portfolio investments. Manage the financials of the portfolio of work, and work with the program and project managers to review forecasting against budgets. Manage portfolio management artifacts, decisions, communications, metrics, and reporting. Create a collaborative partnership among executive leaders and portfolio stakeholders and enable resource demand planning, change management, and project pipeline planning decisions.
 

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or a related field is required. Minimum of seven (7) years’ of experience in Banking or Financial Services is preferred. Knowledge of PenFed IT, technologies and past and current technology work that affects several business lines.
 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will directly supervise 4+ employees.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

 

Travel

Limited travel to various worksites is required.
