Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: preparing budgetary documents; organizing statistical data into factual reports; and/or performing cost benefit analysis of programs/projects OR have a bachelor's degree that meets the requirements for Superior Academic Achievement OR have completed one full academic year of graduate education (18 semester hours) in a field that provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform successfully the duties of this position OR have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing reports on program to submit to management; utilizing system to input program information; and/or gathering data to retrieve the status of programs OR have completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree OR have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
