Grade: The Regional Manager of Revenue Strategy will support the Revenue Management department for the regional properties. The role will assist the staff charged with yielding each hotel within the regional operation, and take part in the maintaining of all Revenue Management system support, evaluation, and training. Working with the Regional VP of Revenue Management and the Revenue Management leaders at the property, the role will support and help develop and recommend regional wide YRM strategy in conjunction with Las Vegas YRM to achieve RevPAR targets across properties and channels. Partner with Executives across all regional properties and departments to help develop the strategies, tactics, and tools necessary to maximize the yield on each hotel room including recommendations to identify and maximize revenue opportunities. Maximize on industry leading tools and processes while leading an organization with broad geographic coverage. Work with a team of data scientists and working across multiple platforms to apply leading edge technology techniques to complex problems.All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Regional VP Revenue Management in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Regional Revenue Management organization to ensure hotel and gaming financial targets are being achievedIdentify, help develop, and recommend regional YRM strategy to achieve RevPAR targets across properties and channels (incl. systems, strategies, tactics, process, tools, and training programs)Determine annual business mix by regional area recommend strategies and/or solutions to property revenue teams and/or VP to optimize revenueBased on best-practices & YRM expertise, identify opportunities to improve regional performance and prioritize testing / improvement ideas from RM Tier LeadsDevelop and support processes to provide analysis of revenue, profit and demand associated with room inventory for MGM Resorts International - Regional.Work with other functions to ensure the YRM strategy is executed (eg, DM, Leisure, Convention, EA, IT)Partner with YRM Property Tier Leads, Convention Revenue Optimization and Channel Distribution on overall enterprise revenue/inventory strategy as well as pricingProvide leadership to ensure successful execution of each hotel's revenue strategy to drive the performance of the portfolioWork closely with General Managers, VP Revenue Managers, and Hotel teams to ensure strategies in place to optimize total hotel revenues with a focus on pricing, and inventory management strategiesUtilize and leverage analytical tools to prepare forecasts, projections and budgets that are distributed to Corporate and Property leadershipEnsure that the collaboration effort generates desired mix and revenue objectivesTake part in the exploration and execution of new analytics approaches for inventory pricing and yielding, mix optimization studies, operations performance reviews, financial modeling, forecasting and statistical analysis, and budgeting support.Partner with Enterprise Analytics department, system vendors, IT development teams, and other departments involved in the analysis of revenue managementSupport the Revenue Management team by continuously assisting in monitoring the quality of work, reviewing forecasts and tracking key financial metrics, participating in operating reviews, and advising on pricing and yielding decisionsHelp drive the alignment of revenue generation controls and to infuse best practices in inventory management.Other job related duties as requested.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position. The incumbent is expected to perform other duties necessary for the effective operation of the department.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Required: Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field: Finance, Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Revenue Management, or Hotel Management or equivalent education and experience.At least five (5) years of experience working in a similar resort/hotel setting, with emphasis in the areas of revenue management, data analysis, marketing, or accounting.Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written formsPreferred:Master's degree in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field: Finance, Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Revenue Management or Hotel Management or equivalent education and experiencePrevious experience in revenue management, marketing and/or hotel/gaming operations, strategic price-demand modeling and building complex pricing and mix optimization models for multi-segment, multi-product businesses, financial analysis and/or Operations Research modeling experience, and business-to-consumer pricing experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesAbility to obtain gaming licenses as appropriate in the various regions.SECTION 3: COMPETENCIES & working conditionsKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Possess strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.Ability to think critically; research, recommend and implement solutions effectivelyComfortable with both quantitative and qualitative analysis, able to leverage data to inform business decisionsStrong business and financial acumen, ideally with some direct exposure to business domains such as revenue management, analytics, marketing, finance, or operationsMust possess broad-based credibility, and is capable of consistently working under pressure with vague/limited information while forging close working relationships with other senior executives throughout the organizationMust be performance driven and able to provide judicious, measurable results and possess a proactive sense of urgency and the ability to overcome obstacles to produce results in a timely fashionMust be comfortable, articulate and dynamic in front of both external and internal audiences, including clients, senior management and customersExperience working with and presenting to senior management, external vendorsDemonstrate strong project management skillsProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook.Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:Must have ability to work varied hours and shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as work load and projects demand.
