Operations Director The Operation Lead is accountable for site operations (Manufacturing, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Facility Management), reporting directly to the VP, Site Head. Through leadership and oversight the incumbent drives short and long-term site goals and initiatives within the site. Responsibilities Planning and Strategy: Communicates and aligns the site to both local and corporate strategy. Leads the site operation team in the development and execution of the annual operating plan goals and objectives, and assures alignment to these goals. Collaborates with other site functions on initiatives (ie, HR, legal, IT, Eng, MS&T). Proactively plan for changing conditions to help achieve growth goals and revenue targets. Leadership and Culture: Acts as the culture ambassador for the site and the overall company by leading in line with the Emergent core values. Communicates company and cross-functional information to the site. Promotes and rewards expected behavior; ensures accountability. Supports the development of leaders and individual contributors. Ensure all site operations operate in a compliant manner, honoring both the letter and spirit of relevant policies and regulations. Operations Management: Provides leadership for overall Operations and ensures efficiency, product quality, and timely product delivery. Collaborates with quality and regulatory functions to provide cross-functional direction, alignment and adherence to the site. Provides oversight to the Operations Team on all Continuous Improvement Activities and priorities. Financial & Resource Management Manages operations, budgets, operating expenditures. Ensures that Operations Team meets or exceeds financial targets for COGS. Leads operation budget process and develops annual budgets for manufacturing functions. Relationship Management Represents the site during regulatory audits and on major issues with primary customers. Develop relationships within Emergent from support functions to drive continuous improvement of site operations. Education, Experience & Skills 10+ year's progressively responsible experience in manufacturing leadership required, industry specific preferred. BS degree or equivalent experience/background in manufacturing. Master's degree preferred. BS, MS, or Ph. D. degree or equivalent preferably in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field. experience in Fill Finish Manufacturing Knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements for pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
