Our client is a growing supermarket chain. They are hiring for a Store Manager position in the Baltimore area.This job will have the following responsibilities:The Store Manager is accountable to the District Manager and is responsible for directing, developing and managing store staff to protect company assets, maintain store conditions and presentation, maximize sales and gross profits, customer and team member relations through proper controls such as sanitation, merchandising, payroll, required record keeping and compliance with company, state and federal policies, rules, procedures, regulations and laws. Manages, supervises and provides leadership to 100-150 team members in the store. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.A Maintains excellent store conditions per company standard every day, including compliance with company and governmental sanitation and safety standards.A Maximizes store sales.A Develops and maintains a team concept to improve associate morale, communication, community involvement and ultimately working conditions.A Maximizes store profits.A Achieves or surpasses productivity and payroll goals in each department.A Controls and executes shrink standards while ensuring proper inventory levels and control.A Establishes and maintains a working relationship with all support staff.A Manages the necessary recruitment, development, training and counseling of all employees and identifies potential promotable people. Fosters and promotes a team culture that is engaged, fun, spirited and productive.A Manages others and adheres to company human resource and personnel policies as well as state and federal laws.A Maintains an ongoing awareness of competitive activity in the immediate marketing area.A Demonstrates and supports a high level of integrity, ethics and confidentiality.A Ensures proper usage compliance and handling of all supplies.A Ensures proper maintenance and safe use of equipment.A Establishes an appropriate level of community involvement.A Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Requirements:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCETwo-plus years related management experience. Associate Degree preferred or equivalent of education and experience.The ideal candidate will have a supermarket or grocery management background where they had full accountability for the entire storeThe company is setting interviews now.
