Who We Are: Community Options, Inc. is a Non-Profit company which develops residential and employment supports for people with disabilities, utilizing technology and training. We recognize that people with disabilities need environments, equipment, clinical and staff support that are tailored to their very specific needs. We are currently seeking a Behavior Specialist - Part Time for our Residential Programs to help support individuals with developmental disabilities. The position will be based out of York, PA. Travel within the region is required. The ideal candidate will have experience designing individualized behavior intervention and support plans, using functional behavior assessment tools, and designing and using appropriate methods of data collection. Responsibilities include collaborating with families and other professionals and providing training to direct care staff. If interested, please click apply now or send resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resume] What You Will Be Doing: Conducts behavioral assessments upon request of team member or other appropriate referral source Actively participates in treatment team meetings, ensuring a person centered approach to care. Provides 'hands-on' assistance to consumer, conducts and documents staff training on how to implement the behavioral management plans, including techniques, required documentation, behavior guidelines etc. Documents treatment notes and completes semi-annual summaries of consumer's progress. Reviews and revises behavior support plans as indicated by the individual's progress and needs and with the treatment team's recommendations. Supports and encourages consumer to increase his/her ability to problem solve, be in control of life situations, and to be as independent as possible. Provide crisis management services as necessary. Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends. Attend local training sessions in behavior support. What Skills/Experience You Have: Masters degree 2 years experience with ID population (documented), Training in: Functional behavioral assessment and positive behavior supports. * Must have a current BCBA or BCaBA certification. A minimum of 1-year experience in writing and implementing behavioral plans required. Candidates who are eligible for certification with plans to achieve will also be considered.
