Uses computer technology, computer modeling, spreadsheet applications, software tools, and programming languages to develop or modify solutions for the purpose of answering the Customer's challenges. Analyses data, conducts advanced statistical analyses and applies mathematical calculations to produce coherent meaning from structured and semi-structured data. Brief findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Communicates and trains users on approach, underlying theory and model / simulation results. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management and Customer, indicating analytical findings and models. Interfaces with customer and helps define work process. Schedule work to meet completion dates; develops project plan incorporating all project variables. May conduct periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan. Summary:Seeking multidisciplinary creative thinkers: typical problem space includes the design and execution of models & simulations of systems. We're looking for "full-lifecycle" engineers: this means individuals with strong oral and written skills, who will provide quantitative total-lifecycle engineering analysis support for a complex system of systems including forensic analysis related to existing systems and predictive analysis in support of future systems' requirements. Our team conducts multi-faceted performance analysis utilizing large disparate datasets to determine operational requirements and provide engineering support to distributed IT system architecture projects for our Gov't Customer's toughest challenges.Specific task responsibilities include:Assist the Gov't in a complex information technology systems effort, by developing analyses using existing data (or data that you must discover and acquire) to provide objective, informed considerations (eg requirements, thresholds, predictions)Use SQL, SAS/R, Microsoft Excel and other tools (to include those that you would develop or modify) to conduct predictive analysis, statistical and correlation analyses of mission data and challenges throughout the entire intelligence analytic workflowLead technical exchange meetings, or participate as a subject-matter expert (SME) for multidisciplinary modeling, simulation and analysis efforts Required Skills:BS/MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalentRequires 1+ year of relevant experience1+ year experience in statistical analysis and packagesSAS, Project R, Microsoft ExcelExperience with Data Mining, Analysis, Performance Analysis, and Reporting using numerous methods and toolsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and WindowsStrong Presentation / 'Soft' Skills:Excellent oral presentation and writing skillsStrong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skillsSelf-Starter / Self-Motivator - able to develop independent ideas or thoughts without significant guidance or oversightAbility to work both independently and within a team environmentTS/SCI ClearanceDesirable Qualifications:Working Knowledge of Customer System, Domain and InterfacesDetailed knowledge of analytic methods and workflows
