Assembly Manager Location: Aberdeen, MD The primary function of the Assembly Manager is to ensure and supervise the overall quality of incoming/outgoing merchandise and assembly in the DC. Major Duties and Responsibilities * Inspection of Chairs * Work with warehouse staff to develop procedures for proper handling of product * Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations for all assembly associates * Review company product and packaging standards * Work with merchandising on product issues * Coordinate all RTV's * Monitor key performance metrics in relation to assembly * Assist warehouse management with assembly issues * Supervise Assembly staff * Observe all the safety requirements of Bob's Discount Furniture. Report hazardous situations immediately to Safety Management if unable to correct yourself Required Qualifications * Experience and knowledge of Furniture product. Prior Technician repair experience a plus * Strong verbal & written communication skills * Organizational skills * Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities * Strong interpersonal and human relations skills and the ability to lead and manage people * Proven analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to use sound judgment and decision making * Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences * Excellent mathematical reasoning * Desired Qualifications * One year minimum as Warehouse Associate or similar position * High School diploma * Management experience Americans Disability act (ADA) Job Description * Standing or walking 75% * Sitting 5% * Moving or lifting 20% Bob's Discount Furniture is a high-growth, value-priced furniture and bedding retailer.
