The Infant/Todd Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual development for children in their care.The implementation of the Easter Seals early care and education program is established and guided in accordance with state regulatory requirements, Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD and standards and criteria established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or in some cases the quality rating system from each jurisdiction. The Infant/Todd Teacher will incorporate Easter Seal's mission, culture, goals, core values and policies and procedures in an inclusive environment. The Infant/Todd Teacher will maintain positive relationships with families, children and colleagues. He/She will ensure the highest standards of safety, health and supervision of children at all times. The Infant/Todd Teacher mentors, coaches and trains the Assistant Teachers and/or volunteers within their classroom and/or age group and will monitor and evaluate their work. feedback and observations will be a key factor to enhance the professional development of other staff. The Infant/Todd Teacher takes accountability for the enforcement of the policies and procedures within their classroom.Must be 18 years minimum Education High school diploma or GED Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). Must be current Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Child Development or related field preferred. Experience Required 1 years - 3 years of professional teaching experience in a licensed child care facility
