What You Will Do:UM St. Joseph Medical Center The Occupational Therapist provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy methods and modalities in an organized and systematic manner according to established hospital/department policies. * Interprets and utilizes clinical data in the treatment plan and to establish reasonable and measurable treatment goals in stated time frames according to unit protocol. * Responds effectively in an emergency situation so that the patient's immediate needs are addressed and adheres to all infection control standards specific to patient care. * Communicates to the healthcare team the patient's progress, changes in condition, the discharge plan and documents in accordance with established procedures. * Documents evaluation, re-evaluation, plan, interventions, precaution, emergency interventions and patient education plan, activities, barriers to learning and outcomes in a clear and legible manner.What You Need to Be Successful:Minimum Qualifications: * BS and MS preferred. Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * CPR Certification (Required) * State licensure as a Occupational Therapist (Required)
