We are currently looking to hire Ophthalmic Technician/Ophthalmic Assistants. You do NOT have to be certified. If you are not, the company will help you in obtaining your certification!Ophthalmic Technician/Assistants Responsibilities:*Initial work up of patients such as gathering chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, past family and social history and complete review of systems.*Measuring visual acuities, intraocular pressures, keratometry, refraction and pachymetry.*External examination and slit lamp.*Scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examination.*Code for services.Ophthalmic Technician's are responsible for the total eye exam. It will consist of bringing the patient back to the exam room and running a 10-15 minute eye exam. This includes questions about vision history, intraocular pressures and manual refraction's. The Tech's will then hand the patient off to the Doctor and scribe for them. This incudes data input and ICD 10 Coding.
