WebServices Engineer Job Description Perform as software engineer in the development and integration of cross domain security solutions and other security technologies in a small team environment. Perform across the lifecycle from concept development, design, implementation, integration and deployment by applying diverse skills in software engineering, system engineering & administration, integration, test and system security. Analyze requirements to ensure overall testability, develop software design, test plans, and procedures. Execute functional, performance, and security tests and support debug of system issues. Estimate software development costs and schedules. Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current development methods. Establish and manage software configuration. Provide direct interface with customer. Basic Qualifications Final Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI 10 or more years progressive experience performing software engineering activities. Demonstrated experience working programming methods and implementation of large scale automated information systems. Languages: - Proficiency with Webservices (SOAP/REST) protocol JSON - - Knowledgeable in WS-Security standards as well as Cloud Computing Security - Development of script level routines and web applications: languages (Perl, shell script, javascript, Java, XML), web environments. - Proficiency and use of scripting languages (Shell Script, Korn, Bash, Python) - Proficiency with web front-end development skills: HTML/JavaScript Development environments: - Experience with the use of an Integrated Development Environment (Eclipse , Netbeans, etc.) and use of content management application (Subversion, Git, or other) in a Windows and Linux development environment. System integration: - Experience with full life cycle software development (design, development, unit test and software integration test). - Working knowledge and development experience in a Linux environment. - Demonstrated ability to plan, design, develop, test, implement and troubleshoot Java integration interface applications (small to medium size development), under minimal direction, in a Windows and Linux (RHEL) environment. - Previous experience with correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation of program development and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Communications: - Must possess superior oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues and ideas to team members, management and customers. Desired skills - Integration of one or more cross domain products (guards, one-way transfers, multi-level access solutions). - Experience in the configuration and integration of IBM Datapower appliance. - Background in software architecture in a cloud computing environment, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS certifications are highly desired - Experience with integrating Digital Certificates / Single Sign-On functionality between systems. - Cross Domain integration (guards, one-way transfers, multi-level access solutions) experience is a plus.
