Summary: Avesis Inc. is seeking a trustworthy Billing Coordinator to work in our Accounting/Finance department in Owings Mills, MD. Under general supervision of the Controller, the individual will analyze reports to ensure proper billing & payment posting to customer accounts in a timely manner. Individual will correct and rebill services that have been rejected or delinquent, review accounts receivable aging for collection, and answer client calls regarding billing. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with prior experience and a team player that is detail-oriented, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is able to meet multiple individual (and team) deadlines & goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities include resolving problems involving customer accounts; coordinates with leadership to implement and monitor processes to insure consistency of information required for compliant claims processing. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies concerning billing issues. Essential Functions: Reconciliation of customer accounts A/R follow up on delinquent accounts Review of monthly vision premium invoices Preparation of claims billings for ASO Clients Submission of files to print vendor and notifications to IT department Assist account managers with issues Manage delinquency letters to clients and field incoming calls Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment Detailed and deadline oriented with the ability to focus and driven for success Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required. Accounting experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within the organization. High energy/flexible/can do attitude Great attention to detail Comfortable with mathematics and financial data Proficient in Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently and possess problem solving skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Able to work a full time; Monday - Friday position
