First Home Care Inc. () is one of the largest Mental Health providers in the Washington DC Metro area. We provide services that enable youth, families and adults to receive the care they need in their homes, communities and schools, reducing the need for hospitalization and out-of-community placement. Our programs offer free-standing, independent levels of care. As such, they provide ancillary treatment to support programs of Social Service agencies, special education programs and office based therapies. We are seeking a Functional Family Therapist (www.fftllc.com) to join our growing Mental Health team in Washington, DC This position will be responsible for providing family counseling/psycho-therapy services to clients in the home and other natural settings; documenting all services provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the mental health regulations. If you possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, desire to work in a supportive environment with constructive oversight, and are passionate about serving youth in the delinquency system, and their families, in their homes, we want you! Experience in family systems therapy or behaviorally-based marital and substance abuse treatment therapy preferred. Master's in a mental health field or related field required; LGPC or LGSW license required. Full Time job with competitive benefits. Base salary range: $50,000-$65,000Job Responsibilities: Ability to engage and empower, assist and advocate for families Display knowledge of therapeutic interventions and adhere to model fidelity requirements Fosters and develops an awareness of community issues that affect the client's care and intervene when appropriate. Solicits family involvement in program planning and treatment services while maintaining hope, balanced alliance and relational focus Maintains acceptable billable hours according to the number of cases assigned Record and submit accurate progress and session notes and contacts in CSS database and ICAMs within expected timeframe Conducts weekly in home family sessions and (2) minimum phone contacts dictated within the context of medical necessity Completes and enters all pre and post assessments, (12) FSR's, (6) TSR's and risk factor form in CSS database on all clients within expected timeframe Completes and submits termination sheets, monthly and discharge reports within expected timeframe Reliably attend as required all court hearings, clinical team meetings and special program and team trainings. Communicate and team with collaborative, stakeholders and FHC workers on a weekly basis of developments in the families' treatment Ensures optimal communication by relaying critical client care information to the Clinical Supervisor and team members immediately Participates in individual crisis interventions: completing and submitting safety plans, incident and follow-up reports and mandated calls and documentation within expected timeframe Participates and attend weekly individual supervision and group staffing Completes documentation and other tasks assigned by Supervisor and First Home Care in an accurate and timely manner Education/Skills: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Education Services or other relevant social/human service field One or more years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a home and community based setting. Direct use of pragmatic (ie structural, strategic and functional) family therapies. An LCPC or LGSW license is Required Evenings and weekends are required based on providing services around the family's schedule. Must possess a valid drivers license, insurance and reliable transportation Must have demonstrated experience as a Therapist. Previous Functional Family Therapy experience is preferred. Must possess knowledge of family systems, social ecological, behavioral therapies, cognitive-behavioral, pragmatic family therapies theory and application, child development research and its application in treatment, social skills assessment and intervention.
