Summary / Description Role PurposeActs as the primary finance business partner to the respective divisional P&L leader, providing decision support in all aspects of the business. Provides overall financial leadership for activities resulting in accurate and complete accounting and financial reporting, which satisfies the needs of Corporate, Business Unit and/or subsidiary management. Provides leadership for all associates within the divisional Finance function and leverages global subject matter experts for more detailed information/expertise on complex or unusual issues (FP&A, Controller, Strategy, Tax, Treasury, etc.).Key Responsibilities/OutcomesProvides leadership to all regional Finance functions and activities, including FP&A, Controller, Strategy, Tax, Treasury, regardless of direct organization reporting linesActs as the key point of contact for the regional P&L owner. Has a deep understanding of all financial results and forecasts that flow through the regional P&L.Acts as a true strategic business partner to the regional senior leadership team members and functions as an integral member of the senior leadership team.Provides the regional leadership team and other senior executives with comprehensive financial and economic guidance on current and future trends in the regionReviews and approves the regional operating plan and financial forecasts. Executes insightful scenario planning and sensitivity analytics and advises regional and global leadership of potential issues and opportunities.Leverages the regional FP&A team to conduct financial modeling to drive an understanding of the short and long-term financial (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) implications for significant business decisions and/or investments. Challenges the assumptions made by the business.Works closely with the Deal Support and Sales Enablement teams to evaluate opportunities in the sales pipeline, restructuring the deal if necessary to achieve maximum profitability and return for Unisys.Provides oversight for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements, company policies, procedures and risk management resulting in an appropriate compliance environment.Collaborates with the Controller organization on revenue recognition, expense accruals, cash management, and other book closing activities.Proactively delivers comprehensive advice to leaders, relevant to strategic decisions in the areas of cost management, cash flow analysis, and margin improvement.Partners with the corporate tax department to optimize the tax structure.Is accountable for the effective utilization of capital within the region, cash management, and pension asset management to provide liquidity to the corporation and to reduce risk.Actively contributes to the creation of the regional strategic plan and sets region performance targets in alignment with Corporate business objectives.Encourages others to consider innovative alternatives and contributes to moving the business forward in operational efficiency and effectiveness, while driving profitable business growth.Operationalizes global systems and processes. Fully exploits available technology and provides meaningful analytics to assist leaders in making business decisions.Provides leadership within the business through both influence and credibility. Provides honest feedback to team members and is comfortable receiving it in return.Actively engages and constantly challenges the status quo (processes, technology, models, etc.). Looks to develop team members, through direct and indirect mentoring.Meets with external clients and analysts providing perspectives on the financial health of the company to strengthen Unisys' position in the market and drive business growth. Provides relevant and timely client, competitor and market intelligence (including analytics). Requirements Key Qualifications BA or BS in finance, accounting, economics or business is required. MBA, CPA or "Big 4" experience would be a plus.Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in positions of increasing responsibility.Minimum of 2 years of experience acting as the key finance advisor for a business unit P&LMinimum of 2 years of experience in all areas of accounting, including exposure to revenue recognition and services cost accounting.Strong working knowledge of the FAR and DCAA requirements is required.Experience running a multi $100M dollar business.Experienced in analyzing financial statements.Experience creating sophisticated financial models that bring clarity to potential business decisions.Working knowledge of tax structures.Ability to balance being a member of the regional leadership team while carrying fiducial responsibility to the corporation.Experience directly supporting a VP level (or higher) business leader with all Financial activities. Ability to stay objective and provide unbiased and data-driven advice to the leadership team.Experience delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making.Broad understanding of IT services business and the potential levers for improving business results.Ability to influence and lead through a complex, global organization.Must possess sound business judgment knowing when to escalate issues to the CFO.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a specific ability to articulate complex topics to business leaders.Very comfortable both receiving and providing honest feedback. Values honesty in order to improve performance. Does not shy away from difficult discussions or decisions.Actively creates change, not just accepts it.Experience creating data-driven strategic plans.
