MSC is seeking a System Administrator to support enterprise IT systems at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). (Contingent on Award) Primary Responsibilities: Application User and Group Account Management. Resetting Passwords. Active Directory/SSO Integration. Defining and Maintaining System Roles System Configuration and Security Configuration API and Web Service Integration with Internal and External systems Documentation and Template configuration within applications (changing/update documents and templates) Email and notification configuration. Workflow building and support within tools. Rules management Managing license assignments for Cloud-Based tools Engage with users to execute tasks in COTS and Cloud tools (eg help a user set up reports or dashboards) Work with the Training Team to develop and maintain a repository of general training aids Manage list of change requests and collaborate with users to understand required changes Monitor systems and provide recommendations on improving performance When outages occur, research and report findings Monitor usage metrics. Create and present usage reports System Administrator Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related business, scientific, or technical discipline 5+ years of hands-on either Windows or Linux server administration experience Experience supporting complex research-based, heterogeneous, 24/7 enterprise environment and using ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Remedy, etc Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements with a flexible and creative approach to brainstorming, troubleshooting and problem solving Ability to effectively and confidently communicate - in writing and presentations - complex topics and procedures with team members and all levels of customer stakeholders Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Applicable certifications to demonstrate technical competencies such as vendor-sponsored (Linux, Microsoft) and vendor-independent (CompTIA A+, N+, Project+, Security+, etc.) Experience with Team Foundation Server, Jira, GitHub and Bitbucket Agile development experience We attract the best people in the business with our competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k plan with employer contribution, paid holidays, vacation, Medical and Flexible Spending Accounts, Pre-Tax Transit Assistance and tuition reimbursement.
