Octo Consulting Group is seeking an Electronic Records Management Specialist to join our growing team in support a Federal client. This position will support the development of an overarching electronic records management program components such as an ERM governance framework and concept of operations that will provide for the business capabilities needs identified in the Business Architecture at a Federal government agency. Responsibilities: Develop an agency wide inter business unit governance model that includes the processes and organization structure to ensure best practice Records Management (RM) policies are being implemented effectively Develop an inventory of business unit software application systems, standards and procedures that require RM governance Develop a plan and process to audit organizations for RM compliance Develop an initial electronic RM classification taxonomy Develop approaches to implement a records management system in a technical environment with diverse technical platforms and repositories Develop an initial RM standard file meta data list for e-records to be collected by business unit systems Develop a road map of future RM initiatives needed to support each of the e-record governance objectives laid out in the governance framework 7+ years of experience in electronic records management implementation Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse business and technical frameworks Significant experience in electronic records management with technical writing strengths to develop, identify gaps in e-records governance policies and practices Ability to interview business stakeholders and system owners to create an inventory of business systems that require e-records governance Proven experience in the development of plans, standards and processes for overall electronic records management Proven experience in auditing business units for records management compliance Possess significant technical writing skills Experience with implementing Records or content management systems such as - Alfresco or Documentum Education: Master Preferred, Bachelor's degree required in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Business, or related field of study.
