Clinical Supervisor (LICSW/LPC)
First Home Care is one of the largest Mental Health providers in the Washington DC Metro area. We provide services that enable youth, families and adults to receive the care they need in their homes, communities and schools, reducing the need for hospitalization and out-of-community placement. Our programs offer free-standing, independent levels of care. As such, they provide ancillary treatment to support programs of Social Service agencies, special education programs and office based therapies. We are currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our growing Mental Health team in DC to work as a member of a unique team providing services to Children and Families in communities, homes and schools. This position is to provide assistance in developing the program and the services provided. Assists in providing clinical supervision and oversight to the Core Services Case Managers. Ensures that quality services are being provided to the clients and provides ongoing and regular supervision and training to all assigned staff. Job Responsibilities: Schedules staff, assigns duties and provides supervision. Evaluates employee job performance. Conducts and reviews grievances and terminations in conjunction with Human Resources and the Program Director. Orients new personnel. Conducts department meetings and training programs Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures in compliance with facility policies and the Mental Health Rehabilitation Services Develops appropriate systems and procedures for safety intervening in crisis situations and providing services to clients referred to the program Actively interacts with clients to resolve problems Participates in marketing the program and its services Provides coordination and backup to assure that the 24 hour on-call crisis intervention services are available and delivered to the clients Reviews assessment and referral material to assess appropriate level of care and liaisons with internal and external agencies to create plans for movement to the next level of care Works with the client and family/guardian to develop a treatment plan and provides ongoing supervision of the treatment planning process and implementation of treatment plan. Two or more years' direct clinical services experience with children, adolescents and /or adults and families. Must possess knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of family dynamics, crisis intervention skills, skills in clinical supervision of licensed and non-licensed therapists Ability to work well under pressure and under short deadlines Ability to manage multiple cases concurrently; reasonable administrative and coordination skills Understanding of mental health care service delivery Ability to work in a team Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of supervisory experience.
