As the leading firm in the country which specializes entirely in senior level construction employment, we have cultivated long-term relationships with many of the industry's leading companies enabling us access to the top companies throughout the continental US We have a great assignment for a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector supporting the Washington Headquarters Service (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) in the accomplishment of its mission. The QA Inspector will join the project team on-site at the Pentagon supporting the design and construction management of new built and renovation projects. Job Responsibilities The QA Inspector is responsible for ensuring the general contractor implements an effective quality control (QC) program and uses the provisions daily to control the quality of work to document performance as outlined in latest edition of QA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Responsibilities include: Assisting with scope of work development and preparing and presenting project status briefings Developing and maintaining project performance matrixes Viewing and providing comments on design submissions and preparing well-written technical reports Reviewing contract deliverables and submittals for conformance, performing daily inspections to verify all work is in strict compliance with the contract and requesting correction of any deficiencies in the QC system Developing a construction QA plan for each project including inspection, testing and reporting procedures, as well as plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by D/B contractors Preparing daily written QA reports recording all discussions with CQC staff as well as deficiencies Participating in pre-construction meetings for each construction work item as required by the QA plan Monitoring QC inspection and testing activities performed by the D/B contractor Providing electrical, mechanical and architectural QA representatives Working nights and weekends as the project schedule dictates Serving as the resident expert in their area of expertise called upon from initial inception of the project through final transition Providing daily reports, submittal review comments and a quality project that meets plans and specifications, technical reports, recommendations and project status matrixes Maintaining proficiency in the International Building Code and Unified Facilities Criteria requirements Specific qualifications for the QA Inspector role include: BS degree in engineering, architecture or construction management (individuals without a degree must have 10 years of experience) 5 years of construction management OR general foreman experience for the applicable trade USACE Quality Control Management course and certification Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Benefits RealStreet offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Life insurance Long-term disability 401(k) with generous company match Paid time off Build a better construction career with RealStreet and apply now!
