Straughan is currently seeking a Mid-Level Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Resources Engineering Business Unit. The ideal candidate should have an interest in and understanding of current environmental issues and a shared vision for sustainability. * PE registered in Maryland or ability to have by reciprocity, additional mid-Atlantic state registrations desired * 5-10 years' experience * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field * Stormwater management design and permitting experience * Erosion and sediment control design and permitting experience * Drainage system design experience * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others Highly Desired * Ability to work on large tasks involving mass transit/transportation projects in the DC metro area * Stream restoration design including sediment transport modeling experience * Geomorphic assessment experience * Hydrology & hydraulic analyses experience * Shoreline protection design experience * Site design and LEED experience * Environmental consulting and/or civil engineering practices (Forest Conservation Plans, Wetland Delineations/Wetland Impact Plates, Planting Plans, and similar environmental documents) experience * Project management experience * Proposal and task order development experience * Comfortable marketing technical services * Active involvement in professional organizations * Ability to obtain a security clearance * Certified MDE expedited plan reviewer * Rosgen Certified Software Experience * Proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD required * HEC-RAS required * TR-55 required * TR-20 required * Pond Pack desired * GEOPAK and/or INROADS desired EOE/AA Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled
