Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Responsibilities: The Vencore program will support USCIS through the implementation of operational and analytical reports and data sharing via several Information Technology (IT) systems. The mission will deliver value cost-effectively, responsively, and with high quality. The Test Engineer is responsible for providing testing solutions for agile teams working on software technology modifications and enhancements for the program. The tester will be responsible for verifying changes made to the system through the execution of manual and/or automated test scripts to meet established acceptance criteria. The tester will work with other agile teams to understand the updates and be able to articulate and troubleshoot test failures. The tester is part of an agile team to research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. The tester will also be responsible for contributing to an agile process through story development, backlog grooming, and responses to ad-hoc customer priorities.Responsibilities: Execute and adhere to Dev/Ops and Agile non-automated and automated testing techniques, tools and practices to ensure fully tested software;Execute Section 508 testing and adhere to Section 508 Standards for all electronic and information technology products interacting with end-users;Demonstrate Agile sprint user stories' developed functionality to appropriate business participants for user acceptance testing; andRemediate any security related testing defects in either deployed software or in the technology stack. Required Qualifications: High School diploma/GED certification with 1-4 years of experience - OR - Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or other Technical degree with 0 - 2 years of experience.Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiencesDemonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlinesDesired Skills:Experience as a solutions tester with increasing testing responsibilities.Prior working experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.Experience in one or more of the following technologies and tools:Data VisualizationMicroservicesProcess and management of big dataAdvanced Analytical ToolsAWS/Cloud migration:Amazon Web Service (AWS)Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS)Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)Amazon Simple Storage Services (S3)Amazon GlacierAmazon RedShiftOpen source data analytics tools implemented in AWS based on a Software-as-a-Service architectureOracle 11GOBIEE 11G - BI toolInformatica PowerCenter 9.5Informatica PowerExchangeInformatica Data Quality and Data Governance Enterprise edition (all included products)SAS(R) Enterprise, Version 9.4Experience working in an Agile team
