As the leading firm in the country which specializes entirely in senior level construction employment, we have cultivated long-term relationships with many of the industry's leading companies enabling us access to the top companies throughout the continental US Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Achieve yearly volume and margins on work equal to or exceeding annual goals. Develop estimates and proposals that result in securing projects consistent with sales goals established by the President. Develop strategies on a per estimate basis that give the client a competitive advantage for any given job. On design-build projects, manage the work of the design professionals retained by the owner and the client to assure that scheduled submission dates and approvals are achieved. Manage the project's development relative to design criteria and cost to assure a positive outcome for the customer. Complete estimates assigned in an expedient time frame. Be prepared and organized for bid review meetings. Schedule and review all proposals/estimates with Vice President before sending to customer. Participate as a key individual in client proposal presentations. Maintain good working relationships with customers. Maintain a current list of qualified, viable subcontractors/suppliers from each trade, size and location. Schedule and attend pre-construction meetings. Maintain an open line of communications with the Project Manager in an effort to produce a quality completed project. Review job cost reports at the end of the project to keep abreast of current construction trends. Meet assigned deadlines. Achieve adequate coverage as required by each bid. Display complete understanding of the requirements of each bid. Provide detailed and accurate take-off as required for each estimate. Maintain complete and accurate estimate file for each estimate. Create accurate "conceptual" estimate with minimal or no bid documents when necessary. Produce accurate, complete scopes of work that accurately reflect the estimate scope. Work on multiple estimates at the same time. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing, lifting 25 lbs. frequently. Requires contact with others (face-to-face, written, telephone, or otherwise) Requires a need for quick decision making. Includes exposure to a diversity of problems and distractions. May include exposure to sounds, odors, dirt, poor ventilation, inclement weather (heat/cold) and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Potential exposure to hazardous materials while on jobsites Requires travel. Requires great attention to personal safety. Provides opportunity to make decisions without supervision. Requires responsibility for confidentiality where negligence could have a significant impact on the company or its employees. Other requirements: BS Degree in Engineering or Architecture and 4 years experience or 10 years of related construction experience. Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; and strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
