In-House - Senior Intellectual Property Counsel - International Assignment Our client (a large publicly traded corporation) has an expatriate (EX-PAT) Senior Intellectual Property Counsel opening located in their cutting edge international R&D facility. Ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or general engineering background with 6 plus years of relevant intellectual property experience with a law firm or corporation. Job responsibilities include intellectual property strategy development, managing patent preparation and prosecution with outside counsel, licensing, JDA, CDA, NDA and general IP agreements. M&A IP analysis, opinion work and client counseling. Strong base salary, bonus program, housing allowance, tuition reimbursement for children, travel allowance and medical / dental coverage. Total international package has a value of $350,000 - $400,000. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering or Chemistry background preferred, but other technical backgrounds will be considered. Experience with licensing, joint development agreements, confidentiality agreements and general IP contracts. Six plus years of relevant intellectual property experience with a law firm or corporation. Experience with patent preparation and prosecution, IP strategy development, opinions and client counseling. Ability to communicate with senior R&D managers and executive leadership team.
