Retail Mktg - Sales Mgr - Bass Pro (Hanover, MD)
Purpose: Outdoor Traveler by Bluegreen is a kiosk concept located exclusively in Bass Pro Shops and operated by the talented individuals of our Retail Marketing team. The Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of corporate defined initiatives. They hire, train and develop new and existing sales representatives and ensure Bass Pro customers are provided with outstanding service through sales and marketing efforts - such as generating leads, offering and selling vacation getaways to Bass Pro customers. The Sales Manager must maintain a positive relationship with Bass Pro management and associates as well as being good stewards of the Bass Pro brand. Responsibilities: Brand Management: * Maintain inventory of and place orders for all necessary "Corporate Approved" collateral including, but not limited to, lead slips, pitch cards, maps, etc. needed for selling. Staffing and Development: * Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach and motivate sales associates. As well as deliver a one-on-one conversation weekly with each sales associate. * Develop sales associates for success in their position and future growth. * Responsible for the work performance of the staff in how they deliver the sales pitch and ensuring that the Company approved training program "Passport to Success" is delivered to all associates. * Maintain appropriate staffing levels in accordance with operating hours. The kiosk should be staffed during the same hours of operation our retail partner is open unless otherwise directed by their VP or SVP of Retail Marketing. * Take-over and/or enter sales for an associate that is struggling in an effort to close and train them on how to handle objections and close sales. Customer Care: * Positively represent our company's purpose of "Share Happiness" and core values of "Care, Trust, Passion and Humility" through all actions and behaviors to ensure the highest level of customer service. * Responsible for the work, performance and behavior of the staff. Although significant support and resources are provided, it is the responsibility of the manager to ensure that the standards and policies of both Bluegreen and our partners are upheld. * Ensure professionalism and care are put forth when going through the Details of Participation with the customer. This should be recorded on the company approved program Remote Link. * Daily, the manager should be reviewing all Medallia Package Sales Surveys and responding to any Customer Care Agents requests about Sales Alerts. * Immediately report all customer service issues up to their District Manager, Regional Director and VP of Retail Marketing. * Daily, the manager ensures the cleanliness of their work environment as well as the compliance of their associates as it relates to following the company published dress code, uniform requirements and name badges. Sales and Production: * Meet or exceed budgetary responsibilities as it relates to the generation of Leads and selling Vacation Packages. General Management: * Minimum on-site 40-hour work week. * Accurately track and process payroll - collect and maintain sales associate's hours on timesheets if manual or in the Kronos time keeping system, and submit to HR within the payroll deadlines. * Complete and submit all new hire onboarding paperwork as required by your HR representatives in a timely manner. * Follow company policies and procedures including but not limited to ethics and compliance and ensuring the company approved method of selling is being trained on and utilized. * Adherence to all Bluegreen, State and Federal hiring and employment regulations. * Work while standing on feet throughout shift, no cell phones should be used on the sales floor and no food should be present at the booth. * Attend and actively participate in trainings and meetings. All responsibilities are to be accomplished while upholding and exhibiting our values of care, trust, passion and humility. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. * Sales or Marketing experience is required. * Previous Management experience is preferred. * Sales Management experience is a plus. * Knowledge and understanding of the timeshare industry, OPC marketing or telemarketing sales is helpful. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook * Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, company's intranet system and corporate policies and procedures. * Outgoing; able to converse with customers. * Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately, strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. * Willing and able to work in an outdoor environment.
