AREA DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS SALES - BJ's Store Locations Nationwide (Ideally, we are looking for candidates that currently reside in Baltimore, New York/New Jersey, or Boston. We will consider other locations along the Eastern coast for the right candidate) You are a natural sales leader and mentor. You love leading a diverse team and rallying them to success. A Wireless is the largest Verizon premium retailer in the United States. As an Area Director of Business Sales, you will drive sales that target small to medium-sized businesses within your defined territory. You will also partner with our Regional and District Sales leaders to create a sales momentum within their areas. Your Focus (Responsibilities): You will lead business sales within and outside retail locations. Along with aiming to meet and exceed sales quotas monthly, you have a high level of energy that will motivate your team to meet sales targets. You will need to be able to multitask and demonstrate exceptional customer service, selling, and analytical skills. As an Area Director of Business Sales, we will look to you for the following: Lead and manage a team of up to 11 Business Account Managers (BAM's) Establish region sales objectives while meeting company expectations Increase SMB sales within each region Acquire new customers from an assigned geography, and/or a set of named prospects Conduct all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon other company resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, and implementation, as needed or as directed by management Assist in training retail locations on B2B functions and expectations Actively recruit, train, coach, and counsel BAM's within your assigned area Attend calls and meetings within the field that will help to generate opportunities for business sales Work closely with the Business Account Managers to review forecasts, track sales expectations, and attend sales appointments for assessment of their sales skills and integrity. Partner with Regional Directors to help establish relationships and take part in calls, meetings, and other opportunities to promote and educate the retail field on B2B Be skilled at conducting needs assessments with customers, providing the proper information to make validated recommendations based upon customer needs. Drive proficiency at providing concise and easy to understand recommendations regarding products and services. Have the innate ability to be self-motivated, positive, and work with your teammates while displaying strong listening skills Work harmoniously with Verizon's business team to stay current on all promotions, support initiatives and training Provide weekly feedback to Senior Director of Business Sales, and VP of Business Sales on forecasts and individual performance Your success in this role is measured by business sales (B2B sales) and Networkfleet lead sales as a percentage of total "boxes" within a defined territory. Approximately 90% of the AD's success is based on the increase within retail locations (Ex: Goal by EOY 2017: 6.5% increasing to 8% by June 2018) Goal of Networkfleet lead sales (6.5% B2B sales by EOY 2017, growing to 8% by June 2018) This is not a comprehensive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise of all the 'essential functions' for purposes of the ADA. Required Experience YOUR EXPERIENCE (Background and Skills): We look to you to be fully effective in to looking after external business contacts while conveying a positive, customer-focused attitude. We are also looking for the Area Director of Business Sales to bring the following: Strong background in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and strong listening skills. Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business dealings while exercising sound business discernment. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, multi-task, and adjust to frequent change. Prior track record of achievement in sales positions, demonstrating significant accountability. Two years of outside sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment preferred. Two years of management or leadership experience Four-year college degree from an accredited institution preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to sit for long periods of time (unless accommodations are required/requested for an employee under the ADA) TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Up to 80%, up to 20 days per month You will receive a company car, computer, and mobile phone. Due to the travel requirement, you will need to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record check and have a clean driving record.
