Provide comprehensive customer service to new and returning credit and non-credit student and the general college community in a courteous and efficient manner. General duties include the processing admission applications, registration transactions, acceptance, scanning of documents. In addition the Student Services Assistant processing all forms of acceptable payment from the student in accordance with established college procedures. The Student Services Assistant provides general college information, direction and appropriate customer service assistance. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide assistance to both credit and non-credit students with all enrollment transactions including but not limited to admissions, registration for classes, dropping and withdrawing from classes and transcript processing, Process all forms of acceptable payment from the students in accordance with established college procedures including daily transmission to the central Accounts Receivable Office Processing student request for record related updates such and address changes, name changes and request for consideration of residency for tuition purposes. Use available databases to enter, retrieve and disseminate information regarding admissions, class offerings, financial and course requirements for each major. Providing direction and specific information for the Arundel Mills Center as needed and general college information. Act as a liaison between students and the offices on the central campus. Create appointments for the academic advising staff located at Arundel Mills. Organized image and attach student records to their electronic file. Required Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year of direct customer service experience High School diploma or GED Ability to interact with a variety of faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of three (3) years of direct customer service experience. Prefer experience serving customers in an educational setting. Experience receiving and processing payments in accordance to established institutional procedures.
