Mortgage Sales Consultant Summary PenFed is hiring a Mortgage Sales Consultant in Papillion, NE, Alexandria, VA or Eugene, OR . The incumbent answers incoming calls and initiates contact with members and prospective members soliciting mortgages and other related PFCU products. Essential Functions Manages leads received in order to effectively sell mortgages and other products maintaining appropriate follow-up and contact. Originates loans to achieve sales forecasts, sales targets and sales penetration rates. Counsels individual borrowers appropriately, to include, interpreting rates and programs, interfacing with real estate brokers and providing competitive market information. Qualifies borrower by evaluating credit history, income levels, assets and liabilities. Schedules and takes mortgage applications directly from borrower as necessary. Sells/refers other products as appropriate. Develops and/or suggests methods and other techniques which will improve sales effectiveness. Remains current on all mortgage related regulations and changes. Completes sales reports as required. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties. Education and Experience Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Associates degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions. Two years related work experience, preferably in mortgage lending or strong customer service background required. Strong oral and written communications skills required. Attention to detail required. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Travel Limited travel to various worksites is required.
