The Senior Financial Analyst for IT Finance will provide analytical support for Global IT operational, commercial and brand initiatives that drive the overall financial results. The Senior Financial Analyst will develop business relationships, identifying profitable opportunities, anticipating challenges, and devising and executing strategies to support Global IT in delivering and executing on strategic objectives. The Senior Financial Analyst will continue to develop new tools and processes to align reporting conventions across the Global IT organization in conjunction with FP&A and Corporate Accounting. What will I be doing?The Senior Financial Analyst for IT Finance will analyze, create, review, and update coding, allocation, billing, and reporting processes to improve visibility and assist Hilton in understanding IT operating expense. The Senior Financial Analyst will proactively document and prioritize tasks to ensure optimal financial results, as well as coordinate the annual business planning process.Other key priorities are listed below: Identify financial and/or operational opportunity and drive results through detailed analysis of operating financials, including development of the annual operating planDevelop presentations that compare data, highlight risks and focuses on qualitative and quantities issuesUnderstand Global IT expense chart of accounts, global accounting, and be able to quickly pull and summarize costs related to IT operationsResearch and help to identify business drivers for Global IT and report findings and conclusions to upper managementDocument and evaluate allocation processes internal to Global IT, coming in and out of Global IT, and educates stakeholders on opportunities and sensitivities to streamline and/or automateAssess actual performance against target to determine whether Global IT is on target to reach goals and take corrective actions as necessaryEnsure business plans are being followed and goals are being achieved and provide feedback accordinglySupport other corporate initiatives, including, but not limited to, financial systems-related projects (Hyperion Planning, Apptio)Evaluate and streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the departmentDisseminate and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders and constituents from other departments, including, but not limited to FP&A, senior finance leadership, and senior IT leadershipManage the cross-functional links between Finance, IT, Global Brands, Commercial Services, and AccountingInform upper management of department's progress and advise them on key issues to help the decision making process, particularly as it relates to current and forward financial performance and opportunitiesProvide support to the Senior Vice President of Finance as requiredProvide support to the Vice President Corporate G&A and IT Finance as requiredPrepare special projects for the Director and Managers of IT Finance on a regular basis, including financial reporting, contract analysis, project analysis, NPV analysis, etc.Desired Attributes: Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writingExcellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence in order to motivate and influence othersAbsolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive informationAbility to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goalsStrong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems; ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other Team Members as appropriateAbility to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to collaborate with others and act in an objective manner in order to effectively solve problems and stay on track towards accomplishing organizational goalsWhat are we looking for?To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:BA/BS Bachelor's DegreeA minimum of three (3) years of professional experience Ability to analyze financial, statistical, and operational data Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are metProficient in Microsoft Office suite; ability to build financial models using Microsoft ExcelIt would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:MA/MS Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics A minimum of five (5) years of professional experienceDemonstrated ability to interact at all levels of management and effectively present to senior and executive managementProficiency with Oracle Smart View and Hyperion EssbaseCertified Public Accountant (CPA)What will it be like to work for Hilton?Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full-service hotels and resorts to extended-stay suites and mid-priced hotels.
