Mission/purpose of the JobThe primary responsibility of the HRBP is to support individual managers on HR related issues that drive business performance and participate in delivering plant goals and objectives.Scope and influenceScopeIndividual contributor: Responsible for HR activities at the Hagerstown site, supporting the Director of Human Resources and other functional area leaders as assignedInfluenceIndividual contributor: HR Business Partner is N-5 from Volvo Group CEO, reporting to Director - Human Resources Hagerstown GTOKey responsibilities/AccountabilitiesResponsible for human resource activities such as recruitment, compensation and benefits, labor and employee relations, talent management, diversity and inclusion, competence development, workplace health and wellbeing, organizational development and changeMaintain effective relationships with labor unions and interact with union officials and others on matters pertaining to employee relations concerns and collective bargaining agreement provisions. Collective bargaining agreement administration and interpretation. Participate in contract negotiations and grievance resolutionDevelop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources.Ensure that managers have access to relevant HR analysis and dataConsistently utilize Continuous Improvement techniques to optimize position and department efficiencies; People Development CoachProficient in all HR related systems ie VGAS, SAP, Navigator, Kenexa, etc.Coordinate with key HR personnel in the Service Delivery Model to insure effective joint delivery of HR services to the organizationCoach and challenge managers in decision making on HR matters and in the roll out and management of HR processes/activities.
