Consider joining the talented staff at HIMSS as the Coordinator, Government Relations. In this position, you will provide administrative support the Vice President of Government Relations. This includes scheduling speaking invitations and conference calls; sending, performing roll call, and sending meeting minutes and following-up on outstanding items, and ensuring that all department initiatives are tracked and fulfilled on time. Your responsibilities: Maintain and update content on HIMSS Government Relations Team-supported committees and roundtables websites, including related blogs. Respond to inquiries and route matters as appropriate. Follow up with staff to assure prompt response to all inquiries and produce reports on a regular basis. Support committee-driven content creation by coordinating presentations and materials, cheduling and distributing conference call invitations using WebEx, performing roll call, preparing meeting summaries, sending meeting and deliverable reminders, coordinating follow-up activities, distributing other relevant information/ communications. Serve as primary point of contact for volunteer activities. Provide administrative and technological support for these committees and workgroups, which may include TIMSS, Excel, document management, WebEx, and social media tools. Support HIMSS Government Relations in processing all information requests, scheduling interviews and follow-ups for potential clients, and preparing invoices for select clients. Conduct market and new client research and maintain contact database. , WebEx, and social media tools. Responsible for quality control of outgoing communications. Your Qualifications: A Bachelor 's Degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 2 years of related work experience Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Effective listener.Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize dutiesOutstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external contacts, including volunteers, external companies, other professional societies and government agenciesStrong personal integrityPrevious experience in a professional society, trade association or healthcare managementCustomer focused with assertive, self-confident personalitySuperior planning and organizing skills Ability to build collaborative relationshipsStrong technical skills, especially with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and WebEx
