Connections Education is part of the global education company, Pearson.Position Summary:Working with the VP of Finance, the Manager of Finance will assist in driving investment business decisions by providing fact-based, financial data and analytics. This individual will report and analyze against investments and capital spend, and will develop a process to analyze new initiatives and projects. This position will develop reporting and forecasting models that fully integrate the entire revenue and cost structure supporting new/existing products, projects, and related capital spend.The Manager of Finance interacts on a regular basis with departmental leaders and peers at Pearson, our parent company. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance. Responsibilities:Business Planning & Support Analyze all aspects of operations, cost structure, and spending patterns to help identify opportunities with the goal of maximizing operational efficiency; Provide analytics surrounding product and segment profitability with a focus on key drivers of performance including pricing, mix, cost and other variables; Drive actionable analyses and recommendations for business growth acceleration, investment prioritization, acquisition strategies, and efficiency improvements; lead business intelligence projects to automate and scale reporting and financial processesFinancial Planning and Production Support Provide necessary diligence and management of day-to-day forecasting and budgeting for Corporate functions, including monthly close, reforecasting, management reporting, variance analyses, tracking of internal capital labor in compliance with accounting guidance, reporting and forecasting of spend; Develop financial models and automated tools to support the budgeting, forecasting, cash management and other analytical functions; Develop, prepare and distribute financial, key performance metrics and analytical reports as neededTransformation Leadership Champion a culture of creativity, collaboration, diversity and innovation; Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals; Other duties and responsibilities assigned as necessary Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred. 7 years' experience in a high growth or transformational corporate finance environment. Strong data mining and modeling expertise. Ability to establish a high degree of accountability across the organization through both performance measurement and clear communications. Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver strategic messages to senior leadership level positions.
