Job Description Job Title: Electronics Assembler II We are currently recruiting an Electronics Assembler to support ongoing manufacturing operations. Major functions: Duties and Responsibilities * Performs all duties required to fabricate, Client out, and install electrical wiring and coaxial cables on aircraft and support equipment. * Checks, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as necessary. * Cuts wire to length, strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleeves. * Performs tasks required to fabricate electrical harnesses such as soldering, crimping, and potting connectors. * Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards with fasteners such as bolts, screws, or solder. * May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Technical/Functional skills: * Proficiency with various equipment including: soldering iron and various crimp tools. * Ability to read and understand drawings, procedures, and/or schedules. * Knowledge and understanding of product quality processes. * Ability to accurately complete all applicable paperwork. * Adherence to all health and safety standards set by Communications. * Ability to safely complete all physical activities required in a manufacturing environment including, but not limited to: - lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying 25-50 pounds on a regular basis. - walking, bending, sitting, standing, climbing, and reaching for prolonged periods of time on a regular basis. - ability to seize, grasp, turn, hold, and operate manufacturing tools and equipment. - willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. - Reasonable accommodation will be considered on a case by case basis. * United States citizenship is required for security clearance availability. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI is mandatory. * High school diploma and 2-5 years of applicable experience. Desired: * General assembly experience. * PCB assembly experience.
