Job Title: Account Manager Job Summary: EMCOR Services Combustioneer is actively recruiting for an Account Manager in the Washington, DC area. This position is based out of our Lanham, MD office, but will support the DC metro area market; therefore, time spent in the Lanham office would be minimal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Possess an understanding of HVAC systems, components and equipment. Possess the ability to read and comprehend mechanical plans/drawings and specifications. Respond to service opportunities resulting from problems and issues identified by service operations and service technicians. Interface with assigned customers; identify needs and solutions for service agreements, repairs, equipment and controls upgrades and system enhancements. Respond to requests and pursue opportunities as directed by Sales Manager. Conduct job site and equipment surveys and prepare estimates for desired scope of work. Define scope of work and solicit proposals from equipment suppliers and subcontractors. Write proposals and secure purchase order and/or necessary authorization to proceed. Work with project management on duties, billings and job close outs. All work to be estimated and executed in accordance with established benchmarks. Partner with CFO to ensure contractual claims and/or A/R disputes are resolved timely. Evaluate on site safety risks and adjust scope and estimate accordingly. Actively participate in Sales meetings. Collaborate and cooperate with peers to share best business practices. Participate in special projects as needed. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial HVAC sales, or equivalent skilled position. Engineering or Technical Degree (preferred), or equivalent field experience in Unitary and Applied HVAC products and systems. Self-motivated to work on a base + commission compensation structure. Flexibility and discipline to travel daily in the local DC metro area, self manage time, and schedule meetings efficiently. Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with customers and employees. Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities efficiently. Excellent communication skills and ability to function within a team environment. Ability to read engineering plans and specifications. Ability to write technical proposals and reports. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Lotus Notes.
