Summary Individual will generate qualified candidates using a variety of sources. MUST HAVE DRIVER/RECRUITER EXPERIENCE. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Recruit and place candidates in permanent and contract positions in Operations (drivers and contractors). Retention of existing drivers, assist to maintain the company's existing safety program, and ensure drivers and equipment are in compliance with DOT regulations. Responsibilities Develop annual recruiting strategies to include forecasting demand as well as partnering with Human Resources and Operation Leadership Develop and lead the day-to-day driver recruiting processes and act as a resource on all points of the recruiting cycle Develop and lead all sourcing metrics to sustainable hiring productivity. This includes mentoring process & adjusting resources and strategies throughout the year as needed Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports Work with other members of the Operations, Human Resource and Safety to identify and address recruiting key items such as market research, wage surveys, unemployment and other factors affecting our ability to attract and retain talent Develop and lead all sourcing metrics to sustainable hiring productivity. This includes mentoring process & adjusting resources and strategies throughout the year as needed Creative sourcing and development of a pool of qualifies applicants through the use of traditional and non-traditional techniques including social media channels, cold-calling, direct sourcing and networking Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications Conduct phone screens and interviews Conduct reference and background checks on job applicants Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed Attends recruiting trips involving trade shows, truck stops and nationwide seminars. Travel as needed Keep abreast of current industry news as well as professional development as needed to perform this job to the best of his or her ability. Experienced with proven success building internal and external relationships and attracting the best and most qualified talent possible. Represent the Company with integrity and Professionalism Promote company through visits to clients, service providers and industry meetings Represent the company for business development and resolution of service issues Qualifications Must be customer service oriented, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE RECRUITING LONG DISTANCE DRIVERS Minimum requirement in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint - Intermediate Level or higher preferred). Minimum keyboard skill level of 40 wpm 1-2 Years recruiting in Transportation industry Work and communicate well with others Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree. (Preferred)
