We show respect to our fellow team members, our customers and our community. The Shipping Supervisor on 2nd Shift is responsible for the night operations of the warehouse and shipping Department. The Supervisor position also ensures that orders are accurately selected and ready for loading at the proper time. The Shipping Supervisor also supervises the employees of the shift in a safe, efficient and effective manner and handles any immediate problems that may arise. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Motivates order selectors, loaders, and short order selectors Organizes the workflow of employees on respective shift. Assigns and monitor tasks through the use of computers and scanners. Assures safe work practices Handles immediate disciplinary incidents Enforces Company policies and procedures Documents Worker's Compensation incidents Trains new hires on GMPs Manages shift time sheets via Ultipro Provides proper warehouse documentation as needed Conducts performance reviews in a timely manner. Handles product discrepancies/shortages/other problems Meets productivity output standards for the shift Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse Able to troubleshoot and problem solve. Supervises returns desk Confirms staffing associate hours ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Participates in operations meeting when required. Reviews the performance of subordinates Liaisons with different departments, ie Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, Sales, Maintenance, Dispatch, Transportation Assists with planning and implementing of processing plant improvements and expansions. EOE AA /M/F/Vet/Disability VEVRAA Federal Contractor Education: High School Diploma Experience: 3-5 years experience in the shipping and warehousing 3 years of supervising Spanish language skills a plus Knowledge: HACCP, GMP's, sanitation, and Food Safety concepts. USDA/FDA guidelines. Current DOT regulations Skills and Abilities: Proficient operating stand-up, reach forklifts. PC skills to include Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel Flexible with change in the work assignments and priorities
