Sabre is currently recruiting for an Aviation Engineering Technician to work in Lexington Park, MD. Candidate will assist facility technicians and engineers in performing technical tasks during the installation, operation, maintenance, and test of aviation fueling and lubrication systems. Additionally, this position will provide technical support for equipment used to evaluate propulsion, electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical systems for military aircraft and associated test systems. Must have at least 2 years of experience performing the above functions, including 1 year supporting military aircraft or RDT&E test programs and associated facilities. Candidate must also have demonstrated experience applicable to handling and transporting commercial/military aircraft fuels and the operation and repair of associated fuel distribution and containment systems. High School diploma or equivalent and completion of military or technical trade school, in propulsion systems, electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, or armaments/ordnance; or completion of at least 30 semester hours in engineering, engineering technology, physics, mathematics, or computer science related courses. Lab installation, maintenance, and operation may be substituted for military/technical trade school or 30 semester hours of college courses. Must have at least 2 years of experience performing the above functions, including 1 year supporting military aircraft or RDT&E test programs and associated facilities. Candidate must also have demonstrated experience applicable to handling and transporting commercial/military aircraft fuels and the operation and repair of associated fuel distribution and containment systems. Candidate may be required to perform other tasks on an as needed basis. Active Secret clearance is required.
