Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Responsibilities: Perform research of complex public policy issues ranging from national defense and homeland security to information sharing. Conduct research using both qualitative methods and quantitative methods, such as case studies, survey research, statistical analysis, and model building. Recommend workable policy solutions to information sharing problems. Assist in drafting national-level policy documents, and responses to Executive and Legislative Branch inquiries. Provide assistance with public relations and responding to media requests. Collaborate with technical staff to develop a data warehouse. Use spreadsheets and statistical database programs, such as SAS. Track and communicate developments in information sharing in the USG and elsewhere. Prepare policy reports and briefs of research and presents findings. Analyze legislative proposals. Review the policy documents of others and providing substantive commentary. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing government policies and programs and formulate recommendations regarding strategies to achieve identified mission. Develop PM guidance on information sharing for provision to other government agencies and State, local, tribal and foreign sector partners. Provide expert policy support to the Government in addressing issues before NSC and HSC committees. Write position papers, prepare and deliver briefings, record and provide formal minutes to senior meetings, assist with administrative and logistical arrangements for meetings, and provide offsite conference support (including facilities), as needed. Draft Congressional Directed Actions (CDA) and Questions For the Record (QFR) in response to Congressional requests. Required:* 10 years of relevant experience with a minimum of a BS degree.* Knowledge of Intelligence, law Enforcement, and/or Homeland Security Community organization, mission, and goals. * Experience working with the various communities of interest to include State, local, tribal partners and private sector.* Understanding of State, local, and tribal operations.* Proven ability to manage meetings and coordinate and track master schedules for office- wide programs.* Demonstrated ability to interface with senior government officials and act as a liaison between various working groups and the Office of the PM.* Background and experience working public relation and dealing with media requests for information.* Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and/or technologies affecting information sharing in the counterterrorism community.* TS/SCI w Poly
