Position Summary: This Manager is tasked with driving strategy and leading marketing activities focused on multiple Customer Marketing channels for the student loan business, including the following core functions: Drive strategy and execution for private student loan sales through email, web, and direct mail channels to current Sallie Mae customers. Leverage internal customer data to develop and recommend segmentation and targeting strategies to drive sales. Work with the extended Channel, Product, Demand Analytics, List, Web Strategy, and Creative teams to achieve all business goals by ensuring that all projects and deliverables are executed successfully and on time. Develop and implement test plans across customer touch points to optimize performance and ROI. Develop creative briefs and managing the creative development with internal and external teams ensuring that product positioning and creative messaging is optimized across channels. Own the performance management and reporting by pulling, aggregating, and communicating channel results; and leveraging those results to develop detailed channel forecasts for future performance. Optimize budgets within and across channels and prepare recommendations for management. This position requires a detail-oriented, data-driven individual that should feel comfortable and confident in managing budgets, collaborating with peers, and presenting to management. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy, Execution and Project Management 50% Develop segmentation and messaging strategies to optimize conversions. Adhere to defined approval processes for all creative and marketing material. Develop creative briefs and work with internal/external creative teams to develop effective direct to consumer marketing collateral. Identify business risks and opportunities and communicate them to stake holders. Ensure campaigns are developed and executed flawlessly and successfully. Seek opportunities to generate incremental leads by partnering with internal teams (ex: List team and Demand Analytics). Recommend and execute testing plans across customer communications. Analysis/Reporting 20% Analyze, and report on campaigns, leverage analysis to develop recommendations to improve performance against defined KPIs, and work with cross-functional teams to continue to make updates to increase conversion. Compile daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly campaign performance reports and present to channel and product senior leadership team. Ensure results meet efficiency and channel objectives. Budget Responsibilities 20% Maintain project/channel budgets to ensure programs remain on target. Secure and manage POs and invoices for programs. Identify budget opportunities within management of campaigns. Compliance 10% Ensure team is maintaining all required and relevant documentation as it relates to the compliance of marketing activities. Adhere to defined processes to maintain compliance standards and making content updates across marketing collateral and touch points. Develop (as needed) policy and procedure documentation. Education: Bachelor's Degree -- Preferred area of study in Marketing or Business Administration Experience: 5+ years of direct to consumer marketing experience Experience working in a multi-channel consumer products company with a demonstrated record of superior business and personal performance Experience in heavily regulated industry (financial services/pharmaceutical) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing existing customer marketing strategies/tactics, including but not limited to: segmentation and testing, cross-channel campaign development and optimization, and results/analysis Demonstrated experience in campaign management of email campaigns, including working with email vendor and email operations teams Demonstrated experience in managing direct mail campaigns, including working with internal analytics team as well external print vendors Strong strategic thinker with excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers, leaders and business partners Demonstrated experience managing a significant marketing budget that spans across a variety of marketing channels Experienced user of all Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word Other: Flexibility to travel (~10%) EEO Employer Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
