The Financial Analysis Manager is responsible for leading complex database analysis functional and project teams. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Manages month-close database analysis functions. Reviews and approves complex accounting data and database analysis based on trend. Leads work groups to develop, implement, modify, and document new or revised database processes, procedures, systems, and tracking mechanisms. Oversees extremely complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors, innovative solutions, and effective and collaborative leadership. Serves as an expert in data analysis and reporting; formulates recommendations, and provides guidance to other data analysts. Develops appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools; makes recommendations based upon data analysis. Collaborates with businesses and technical areas to implement new or enhanced programs. Leads a team of associates, mentors, trains, and coaches lower level database analysts. Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance 6 years of experience in general accounting, finance, or budgeting and planning; experience working complex databases (Access, Teradata, SQL server) and/or data systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Managed care / health insurance experience strongly preferred. Proficiency with MS Access, Excel, and SQL strongly preferred.
