This DC-based real estate developer is looking for an individual to run the construction division of the company. This individual must be well-versed in both residential and commercial construction and have the desire to join a relatively small firm with enormous potential.Client DetailsThis development firm is based in DC and works largely in the multi-family (2-8 unit townhome) space, as well as light commercial work. They have been doing extremely well in recent years and are looking for an individual to take over the construction side of the company, and be responsible for steering the growth of this division.DescriptionResponsible for complete oversight of construction division of the companyResponsible for developing business portfolioTake part in meetings and decisions at the ownership levelOversight of 10-15 residential and light commercial projects simultaneouslyEnsure work is being performed in a quality & timely mannerReview the project daily to insure all activities are being performed within regulationsComplete daily reports and maintain logsCommunicate issues, performance, and any feedback to project managerAble to read blueprints and knowledgeable in commercial construction methodsAble to direct work and manage subcontractors, suppliers, etc.Able to stage and manage organized and safe job siteProfileMinimum 10 years construction experienceExperience in high end multifamily construction and light commercial workExperience completing work in occupied environmentsExperience working in Washington, DCDemonstrated leadership abilitiesInterest in being involved in business developmentAbility to deal with unforeseen challenges and variety of personality typesHigh level of customer serviceJob OfferHighly competitive compensation package including bonuses & profit sharing.
