Our client is hiring for a Systems Test & Commissioning Engineer to help with the vehicle commissioning and brake system testing for their Maryland operation. The engineer will be in charge of the design & fabrication of brake system test racks, failure investigation, system approval reviews (SAR) and system commissioning reviews (SCR).Some other responsibilities will include: Creation of test specifications and test plans for system test and commissioning of brake systemSpecification of test cases for automatic/manual system testing and for static and dynamic commissioning.SW and system testing of application software on test benches and/or on-site on trains.Release of application software for commissioning phase and finally for commercial service operation according to KBC processes.Static and dynamic commissioning of brake systems with highest priority on safety.Provide commissioning training for customers to ensure correct commissioning of KBC brake systems.Organize and execute internal reviews SCR's and SAR's.Field support to engineering trouble shooting and/or failure investigations. Engineering Degree (Preferably BSME or BSEE)3+ years of testing (failure, system, manual, software)3+ years of design experience Understanding of Microprocessor based systemsKnowledge of brakes, doors, hydraulics or pneumatics Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems Experience negotiating with customers Labview (data acquisition) About Aerotek: Our people are everything.
