Job Summary Raytheon Cyber Products has openings for Sr. Systems Engineers. The successful candidate will work within the development and QA teams to design, deploy, secure and maintain a development environment and lab infrastructure. The position will perform equipment staging, server setup, software installation, and general system and network administration to support product development activities. Extensive interaction and collaboration with development engineers, test/QA teams, and support personnel will be essential to succeed in this role. Essential Functions Work with development and test engineers to setup and maintain development and testing environment Install, configure, and maintain software and systems to support development activities Configure, secure, and monitor development services including source code repositories, development collaboration tools, and automated build systems Install, configure and maintain backup system for critical development, test and support infrastructure systems Setup and maintain a secure network infrastructure for development and test environment Design, implement and enforce security controls for development and test systems and networks Troubleshoot and resolve system, software and networking issues as needed Develop and implement configuration management processes and procedures for critical development and test systems Track and audit assets and maintain inventory control of development and test equipment Support hardware and software procurement for development, test, and support functions Required Experience/Skills: Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience Minimum 6 years professional experience Minimum 4 years of directly relevant experience in systems and network administration Strong Linux system and advanced networking skills Ability to setup and maintain commonly used software development tools (Git, SVN, Jira, Stash, Crucible, Jenkins, TestLink) Ability to configure networking devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, NAS/SAN) Familiarity with common network protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, DHCP, NTP, SSH, and RDP) Strong problem solving and system/network troubleshooting skills Ability to setup and maintain a virtualization environment for software development use Ability to program in python, shell scripts, and/or perl Preferred Additional Experience/Skills: Ability to use packet sniffer with packet level understanding of TCP/IP and common application layer protocols Ability to install and maintain a basic Windows infrastructure setup (Active Directory, Exchange, MS CA, Windows file share, MS Lync) NOTE: This position will be a Sr. Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer II depending on the successful candidates experience and other qualifications
